First announced back in April, the latest Dooney & Bourke x Star Wars handbag collection is now available from the Disney Store website! The collection includes three styles – the shopper bag, the crossbody bag, and the wristlet bag – each made from a black leather embossed with Star Wars designs. The pattern features the Star Wars logo, Darth Vader’s helmet, the Rebel Alliance symbol, the Galactic Empire symbol, Lightsabers, and TIE Fighters. The black and red colour scheme has quite a Dark Side theme to it, so I’m surprised to see the use of the Rebel Alliance symbol.
The exterior of each bag is 100% cowhide leather, while the trim and straps are made from vacchetta leather. The lining is 100% cotton, though the Disney Store photos do not show what colour the lining fabric is. These bags each have a purchase limit of 10, though I’m not sure if there is a limit if you are purchasing these in person at the US Disney Parks.
The original announcement on the Disney Parks Blog did not mention whether these bags would be available on the Disney Store website, so I’m very happy to see that they are – the Disney Store can ship internationally. While I understand the attraction of park-only merchandise, I am always glad to see Star Wars accessories available online, so fans around the world can purchase one!
