10 years ago today, I married my best friend. My husband and I met through Star Wars, and we continue to share our love of Star Wars together everyday.
We got engaged at the Episode II filming location of Villa Balbianello, standing the spot where Anakin and Padme’ were married.
We had a traditional wedding, but still included little Star Wars touches – we danced to ‘Across the Stars’ at our reception, and I wore a blue Star Wars garter under my dress (a lovely gift from a Star Wars actor). Tucked inside my bodice was the japor snippet my husband hand carved for me on our first Valentines’s Day together.
