I particularly love the classic Star Wars poster art by the Hildebrandt brothers, so I was excited to see the artwork show up in preview photos from Loungefly. The newest items in their Star Wars range have just been released, including this tote bag (there is also a matching wallet). It retails for US$56.00 from Modern PinUp – they have free domestic shipping within the US, and free international shipping for orders over US$100.
The bag is made from faux leather, with the front image printed directly onto it. I love the vibrancy of the artwork, it works fantastically on the bag. The print quality is really nice, even up close. The bag features the same Loungefly x Star Wars collection details – the enamelled metal logo plaque on the back, the interior zipper pull features the Loungefly logo, and the interior is lined with black printed Star Wars logo fabric. I love the spaciousness of this bag, I can fit so much in it. Inside there are two pockets – one side has an open fabric pocket (approximately 22cm x 16.5cm), the other side has a zipper pocket (approximately 20cm x 15cm). The bag closes with a magnetic snap closure, with the top edge bound with the same faux leather fabric as the exterior. The straps are also sewn from the same black faux leather, attached to the bag with square silver rings.
The tote bag measures approximately 40.5cm across, and 42cm high while lying flat. The handles measure approximately 56cm long, giving a handle drop of approximately 21cm above the top edge of the bag when hung. I can wear the bag comfortably on my shoulder, the way the straps are sewn gives them a slight padded feel, which is nice. I love this bag, a great addition to any Star Wars fans wardrobe. Such a great use of classic Star Wars artwork 🙂
