I’m always keen to find out the manufacturing company for items, so I was excited to discover this stormtrooper wallet is made by Loungefly! Usually priced at US$16.50, I bought the wallet on sale from Hot Topic using a ‘Hot Cash’ voucher – it is still available, at the time of writing. Note that the tags seen in the photos are easily removed. It is described as a ‘kisslock hinge wallet’, with a metal frame that clips closed with the two metal ‘pins’ at the top. The outer is black faux leather, featuring a white semi-repeated ‘Day of the Dead’ stormtrooper print. The print design has a lot of fine details, quite floral but still recognizably a stormtrooper. Inside, there is a zip up compartment and bill slot on one side, while the other side has five card slots (one with plastic window) and another bill slot. The wallet measures approximately 18.3cm x 10cm (not including the ‘pins’) x 2cm. Due to it’s slender design, it can’t shut properly if overfilled, but it’s a fantastic wallet – almost too pretty to keep hidden inside a handbag! This is one I’m definitely going to use as an evening clutch, it has a slightly more elegant feel compared to standard wallet designs.
