The new Star Wars Launch Bay area has officially opened in Disneyland, and there is now a huge range of Star Wars fashion and accessories available at stores inside the park (like a new Her Universe range). Sadly I don’t live anywhere near a Disney Park, so I’m unable to take any photos – but others have been sharing their photos – check out this gallery from MousePire on Facebook. There are also new Dooney and Bourke x Star Wars handbags, which feature The Force Awakens – as seen here on Instagram. I much prefer this new print to the earlier green version released for RunDisney and Star Wars Weekends.
So far, two of the new women’s items have been added to the Disney Store website – a Star Wars tote bag, and unisex Galactic Empire zip up jacket. The brown canvas tote bag features a collection of patches and embroidered logos, which are different on each side – Rebel themed on one side, Imperial themed on the other. The outer edge features a full zipper, that allows you to expand the bag to hold more – such a neat feature. The bag measures 15 1/4” high, 14 1/2” wide, and 4 1/2” deep, with 9″ long handles – the interior is fully lined. The Galactic Empire zip up jacket is a unisex adult fit, but hoodie/sweatshirt styles tend to be unisex style anyway – the front features an Imperial symbol appliqué, while the black cuffs are certainly a practical addition to the white jacket.
It’s great to see these new items available online – I hope there’s many more still to come! The Disney Store can ship internationally, which is great for overseas fans or those who can’t visit the parks often.
