Armageddon Expo was held in Auckland this past weekend – the biggest comic/sci-fi convention in New Zealand. My family and I are always heavily involved with the Star Wars costume clubs at the event, and it was great to see the increase in number of attendees wearing Star Wars costumes and apparel – we lost count of the number of Rey costumes we spotted!
Of course a great highlight for me is the range of women’s Star Wars fashion available locally. Popular brands like Loungefly and Body Vibe are now available from a number of companies, including Mighty Ape and EB Games. EB Games had a full Loungefly display, which included Star Wars handbags and wallets. My favourite from the range available was the Star Wars applique’ logo tote – it is just fantastic in person, definitely on my shopping list!
