Phew! It’s been a crazy couple of days – I hope all you Star Wars fans have had a chance to see The Force Awakens! I attended the New Zealand premiere on Wednesday evening, and was excited to see NZ entertainment journalist Kate Rodger at the event (she accompanied my husband and daughter to Skywalker Ranch a few years ago, after my daughter won a nationwide competition) – wearing a custom made Darth Vader dress! Made by New Zealand designer Tanya Carlson, the dress featured a detailed Darth Vader helmet design on the bodice, with contrasting appliqué and piping details. I was able to see this dress in person, and was blown away – though sadly only major press outlets were allowed cameras/phones at the event so I was unable to take any photos myself.
