Force Friday was amazing! Although there was no Star Wars fashion released locally here in New Zealand (not even men’s), I was overwhelmed with the amount of women’s Star Wars fashion that was released by companies and retailers overseas! Once it hit midnight in the U.S. and websites updated with the new products, I was busy writing up posts for 12 straight hours (before taking a break for sleep at 4am!), then continuing on the next day(s) – I think I’ve finally caught up. If I do find any more, I’ll be sure to post it here, but for reference, here’s a summary of the Force Friday women’s Star Wars fashion news I found –
- Loungefly – Episode 7 poster art tote bag and wallet (also preview video – photos, BB-8 & Captain Phasma items)
- Skechers – Star Wars footwear collection reveal (note – not confirmed yet if this will include women’s styles)
- Her Universe – Episode 7 t-shirts, sweatshirts, tote bag
- Kay Jewelers – Star Wars charm bead collection
- Disney Store – Episode 7 t-shirts
- Hot Topic – Episode 7 t-shirts/tank tops
- Junk Food Clothing – Episode 7 t-shirts/tank tops

- Han Cholo – Episode 7 necklace (BB-8)
- Irregular Choice – women’s Star Wars footwear collection announcement
- SuperHeroStuff – Episode 7 apparel
- Entertainment Earth – Episode 7 jewelry by Body Vibe
- Joann – Episode 7 fabrics (for fan made fashion)
- Zulily – Episode 7 apparel, Star Wars apparel, jewelry and accessories
- Macy’s – Episode 7 t-shirts, new Star Wars apparel
- We Love Fine – Episode 7 t-shirts, Sith cowl dress
- Kohl’s – Rock & Republic x Star Wars apparel (also Mighty Fine apparel)
- Target – Episode 7 t-shirt, new Star Wars apparel
- Design By Humans – Episode 7 t-shirts

- Hybris – Episode 7 t-shirts
For me, my favourites from the new Episode 7 products were the BB-8 dome handbag previewed by Loungefly, the jewelry by Body Vibe, and the tops available at Hot Topic – the Kylo Ren tank top and Captain Phasma t-shirt in particular. The Han Cholo BB-8 neckace would make that list but the silver version is probably outside of my current budget. It was great to see Rey and Captain Phasma featured so well across the apparel range, and I had expected BB-8 to be well represented. I was disappointed to see Thinkgeek had no Episode 7 apparel for women, and I was really hoping for a skirt or dress in the new product offerings – but I’m sure there’s much more to come. It was great to find so many more companies/retailers releasing women’s apparel for Force Friday than I had anticipated – and there’s still more I haven’t found/haven’t been released! There’s a few Rey items seen in the Star Wars Livestream Unboxing event video that I haven’t been able to locate – I’m quite interested in what looks like a Rey maxi dress, and the scarf with a First Order stormtrooper print.
While not Episode 7 themed, I am beyond excited for the Irregular Choice x Star Wars women’s footwear collection coming later this year! I stopped by their booth at Celebration Anaheim and really enjoyed talking to the staff about the collection – I’m still trying to decide on my favourites for a shopping list, my Star Wars wardrobe is desperately needing some heels!
As always, it’s frustrating (for me) knowing there are more items available at stores in the US than are available on retailer’s websites – but at least that means that there’s more Star Wars fashion for women out there – and that’s always a good thing. I had to spend quite some time browsing the new apparel to narrow down my Force Friday shopping list – I hope you all found some great Star Wars fashion for your wardrobe too! 🙂
