Irregular Choice has unveiled the first design in their new 2016 collection of women’s Star Wars footwear – R2-D2 flats! The flats feature a silver glitter layer, with a fully embroidered R2-D2 decoration on the toe of each shoe, and the words ‘Star’ and ‘Wars’ embroidered in blue on the heel (so they form the full title ‘Star Wars’ when worn together). The R2-D2 heels were the first pair revealed from the original Irregular Choice x Star Wars collection – and were by far the most sought after, so it’s not surprising they have chosen an R2-D2 design to reveal first.
These R2-D2 flats were on display at the recent Disney Lifestyle event in London – I was curious to see if they were part of the new collection, or a concept design (as some items on display were created specifically for the event). Now I’m very excited to see that they will indeed be available to buy as part of this new collection – and I can’t wait to see more styles revealed in the weeks counting down to the release!
