The Run Disney Star Wars ‘Dark Side’ Half Marathon event is coming up soon in April, and Dooney & Bourke have created a new Star Wars handbag range for the event! The new range includes three bags featuring a new print. The ‘Dark Side’ print has a black background with a red/white/grey Dark Side themed pattern, that includes the Star Wars logo, Imperial symbol, AT-AT’s, TIE Fighters, Darth Vader’s helmet, Stormtroopers, the Death Star, lightsabers, and Royal Guard helmets. The design is available in three bag styles – wristlet (US$115.56), letter carrier (US$211.86), and shopper (US$286.76). These are currently available to pre-order for those registered for one of the races at the event – pre-order them here (in the ‘commemorative items’ category).
As much as I loved the 2016 Run Disney ‘Rebel Challenge’ themed design, I think this new print is now my favourite from the Dooney & Bourke x Star Wars range. The bags available at the 2016 event in January were fabric (rather than leather) – if these bags are also fabric, the darker print means these will be much less prone to showing marks/dirt. I’m usually more drawn to Rebel-themed items, but this new Dark Side print is very well done – I would love to get my hands on one!
