Her Universe has released the first photoshoot image from the upcoming The Force Awakens collection for Hot Topic – Captain Phasma-inspired jacket and leggings! Ashley Eckstein gave us a preview of this outfit last weekend, as she wore both the jacket and leggings during her visit to WonderCon. Ashley has also previewed a women’s jacket inspired by Poe’s/Finn’s jacket from The Force Awakens! All three of these items will be coming soon to Hot Topic – I can’t wait to see the rest of the collection! I’m always excited when Her Universe teams up with Hot Topic – they can ship internationally, allowing fans around the world to get their hands on the new range. Ashley has also confirmed the Poe/Finn jacket will be available in plus sizes 0 to 5 – all of the apparel in the recent Her Universe x Star Wars release were made in sizes up to 5X, so hopefully this new collection will be too.
The Captain Phasma jacket is definitely on my wish list – I wonder if it has printed lining like the earlier Darth Vader jacket? Here’s the description of the outfit from Her Universe –

Leetal Platt and Kelly Cercone were the winners from last year’s Her Universe Fashion Show, held at San Diego Comic Con. Entries for this years event are now open – read more about the contest and how you can enter here – Her Universe Fashion Show 2016. I’m really hoping to see some Star Wars-inspired designs this year – and while I can’t attend in person (hopefully one day!), the upcoming ‘Her Universe Fashion Show’ reality series will be available to view on-line at Comic Con HQ! The series will follow the contestants as they create their original designs leading up to the runway show – it’s great that the contestants have more time to show off their talents, I can’t wait to watch, and be inspired 🙂
