An exciting aspect to Celebration Anaheim is finding new products and upcoming releases, and today I came across a great new find – Han Cholo. Influenced by Rock N’ Roll, Science Fiction, Fantasy art and Los Angeles culture, the jewelry brand has worked with companies such as Hasbro, Nintendo Wii, X Box – and now Star Wars. At their Celebration Anaheim booth (#1145) they have revealed a fantastic collection of licensed Star Wars jewelry which includes several necklaces!
This first collection is available now, with the two blaster pendants available for preorder. They are made in sterling silver – prices range from approximately US$300 up to $1000 (for larger items like a Han Solo blaster belt buckle). While currently only available to buy at Celebration Anaheim, this collection will be available on-line on May 4th. The figure pendants are approximately in the 1″ to 2″ size range, great for fine detail. A ‘second tier’ collection is set to be released around Christmas, with stainless steel versions of the items – the prices will range from approximately US$70 to US$100.
These pieces are amazing in person – I love the details like R2-D2’s lights (cubic zirconia stones) and Darth Vader’s lightsaber is 14k gold plated. The pendant hangers are another fantastic aspect, with the stormtrooper and Darth Vader pendants hanging from an Imperial logo, the R2-D2 pendant hanging from a Rebel Alliance logo, and the Han in Carbonite and Han Solo blaster pendant hangers using the characteristic Death Star wall light panel design.
