A little while ago I placed an order for a few Star Wars fashion items from Hot Topic (a fairly regular habit these days), which included this Millennium Falcon necklace. With my order sent to my US mailbox shortly before leaving on my Celebration Anaheim trip, I saw these for sale in the dealers hall before I received my own in the mail. Hot Topic still has the necklace available on their website – the regular price is US$8.50, but I paid US$6.38 on sale. These were being sold for US$25 at Celebration – as I’m familiar with the usual price range for Bioworld x Star Wars accessories I didn’t buy any at the convention, even factoring in shipping it was much cheaper to buy on-line.
The pendant measures approximately 3.3cm x 2.4cm, a nice smaller size. For the price I was expecting a flat back but was happily surprised that the Falcon is sculpted on both sides. I love the darker tone metal used, I think it suits the Falcon better than a shiny silver. The matching dark toned chain measures approximately 47.5cm long, with a further 7.5cm length for adjusting and closes with a small lobster-style clasp. I am really happy with this necklace, it’s a great size without getting too heavy and at a fantastic price.
