When I spend each day searching for Star Wars fashion, I love finding items that have a point of difference from a standard t-shirt. As soon as I saw this top with braided straps on the Hot Topic website, I knew I wanted it. The ivory-white tank top features artwork of R2-D2 in a hand drawn sketch style, though I’m afraid I don’t know who the artist is. The top features braided fabric around the top hem, that meet and create the racerback style shoulder straps. The fabric is 60% cotton, 40% polyester – it’s quite a thin t-shirt fabric, but lovely and soft, perfect for summer. Unfortunately there is no manufacturers information, so I have no idea which apparel company made this top. I bought mine in size small – it measures approximately 45cm across the chest (underarm to underarm), 42cm from neckline to front hem and 56cm straight across the lower hem (side seam to side seam). It usually retails for US$22.50 but I paid US$16.88 during a sale. While it was made in sizes S to XL, unfortunately only size large is left in stock at Hot Topic.
