Today’s review features the General Leia Organa replica ring made by Body Vibe. This licensed ring is a replica of the one worn by Carrie Fisher as General Leia Organa in The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi. This ring design has been on many fans wishlists even since seeing it in The Force Awakens, and this version is a gorgeous addition to any Star Wars outfit.
The Force is strong with this replica ring! This is a replica of the ring that General Leia wears in Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens. Made of real metal and featuring faux gems, this approximately 2-inch ring is adjustable. Sure to make a great gift for your favorite Star Wars fan!
The ring is available in one size (adjustable), and is priced at US$29.99 each – Amazon seller ToyNK can ship internationally, which is great.

The ring came packaged inside a black hinge-lid gift box, with the Star Wars and Disney logos printed in silver foil on the lid. This is a different box to the other/older Body Vibe x Star Wars jewelry I have, and it is a lovely presentation if giving this as a gift. The black ring box was inside a plain white cardboard band, to help protect the exterior during shipping. The black gift box measures approximately 8.9cm x 8.3cm x 3.6cm.
Opening the box, the first thing you see is a white cardboard information insert. This features a picture of Carrie Fisher as General Leia Organa from The Force Awakens, and notes that her screen used ring inspired this replica version. The insert card measures approximately 7.9cm x 6.9cm.
In the photo, you can see that Leia wears this ring on the ring finger of her right hand – though it seems to be up to the fans to decide what special meaning this ring and its placement may have. In The Last Jedi visual dictionary book, it is noted as a ‘signet ring’.
In The Last Jedi, Leia also wears a large gemstone ring (also noted as a signet ring) on her left ring finger , along with earrings and bracelets – I hope to see replica versions of those available too. As it has been reported, it was Carrie who wanted more ‘space jewelry’ in The Last Jedi, so that makes me want the rest of Leia’s jewelry even more! In her Star Wars red carpet appearances, Carrie Fisher often wore rings on the ring fingers of both hands, just like Leia in The Last Jedi.
Including an image of Carrie as Leia along with the ring is a helpful reminder for those who may not have remembered the ring design from the films, but for me, it adds another layer of emotion. Jewelry often has special significance, given as gifts to loved ones – especially rings, which have long been symbols of love and family. This replica of Leia’s ring serves as a reminder of her character, and the incredible woman who portrayed her – and how much we as fans love them both.
The ring is held on a blue cardboard insert, that has a velvet-like feel. The blue insert features the text ‘General Leia Organa Ring’ printed in silver foil, just underneath the ring. On the underside, the ring is secured in to the inset card with a small zip-tie, that has to be cut to remove the ring from the packaging.
I already loved this ring from the moment I saw the promotional photos, but it is even better in person. It is just so pretty, I would love this unique ring even without the Star Wars connection! Living overseas, I am always excited and nervous when something arrives in the mail – I often don’t get to see things in person like in the large American stores. So of course I am happy when items live up to expectation – this ring goes beyond! As well as loving the design, I am delighted to see a new female character themed Star Wars jewelry item – there is already a lot of Darth Vader and R2-D2 themed fashion, time for more Leia (and Padme too, please).
I am not sure if the original screen-used ring was made by the in-house movie prop/costume department, or purchased externally like the Lapponia jewelry for A New Hope or the Po-Zu boots for Rey. I certainly looked long and hard for it online after The Force Awakens came out, but in any case, I am so happy that fans can now easily get their hands on it for a very affordable price.
The ring design is comprised of a single gold-toned strand, that loops around 2 blue stones and forms the ring band. The design is symmetrical, so there is no ‘right end’ when wearing. There is a small notch at both ends of the strand, which adds a little extra detail. The strand ends are rounded, they aren’t pointed or sharp.
The stone settings have a small pointed edge – this is the one noticeable difference as the setting of the original ring appears to have a smooth edge. This is a minor difference, and doesn’t detract from the design. The setting detail is similar to the prongs/edges of rhinestone/gemstone settings, so to me, using it here gives an feel of real world jewelry making techniques, rather than just ‘gluing’ down the stones.
I don’t usually wear rings much, so I wasn’t sure how I would manage the larger statement ring style. I knew I would wear it regardless of how comfortable it was (because it’s Leia), but now that I can try it on, I am so happy to find it easy to wear. Honestly, I don’t want to take it off… okay, I’ll get a special ring display stand just for this so I can admire it when I’m not wearing it. It is inspired by Alderaan royalty after all.
The packaging doesn’t note which metal the ring is made from, but as this is made by Body Vibe, I would guess that it is stainless steel, with a gold-tone coating. I can’t say for sure if this is actually gold plated, but the gold-tone finish is gorgeous in person, it really shines. I’m more of a silver-tone jewelry girl (my engagement ring and wedding ring are white gold), but I’ll happily make an exception for this ring. Now I really need Leia’s gold earrings to match!
The ring features 2 blue faux gems, which have a lovely deep blue tone. They may not be exotic stones, but they still look really pretty in amongst the intertwining gold-tone bands. I will be taking care of this ring, as I would any piece of jewelry, to avoid any possible damage to the surface or settings. The stones measure approximately 11mm in diameter, and approximately 4mm high (above the setting).
Some fans have theorised different special meanings behind the 2 stones – like Leia and Han, or Leia and Ben, or Alderaan and the Rebellion. For this replica, they can be reminders of Carrie and Leia, or whatever you want them to represent. The 2 stones held intertwined almost remind me of the theme of the Jedi mosaic on temple floor on Ahch-To – both sides of the Force, held in balance.
This officially licensed replica ring is one-size, with an adjustable split ring band. As it arrived, the ends are overlapped slightly, but of course the band can be tightened or loosened to fit your ring size. I often find Star Wars rings aren’t made in my small ring size, so I was so happy to see that this ring is adjustable – and it makes it easy to give this ring as a gift, as you don’t need to know/guess their ring size. While Leia wears this ring on her right ring finger, the adjustable band means you can change up which finger you wish to wear it on. At the adjustment setting as pictured, the internal circumference is 4.3cm.
As this is a licensed Star Wars jewelry item, the back features the standard Lucasfilm copyright stamp. This is tucked away on the underside, and of course isn’t seen when worn. It keeps the ring free from any obvious Star Wars branding, so you can wear it anywhere – to the office, out to dinner, or with your favourite Princess Leia inspired outfit. Only knowledgeable Star Wars fans will recognise the design, so its the perfect subtle Star Wars touch to any outfit.
As much as we (that is, I) would like to, dressing as our favourite Star Wars characters can trend towards costume (the ‘Disney Bounding’ concept blurs the lines between outfit and costume), so I often look to costume accessories to add a touch of my favourite Star Wars character to an outfit if I need something more subtle. While Leia did wear jewelry in the original trilogy, the gorgeous Lapponia jewelry is not in every fan’s budget. I was excited to see Leia wearing quite a lot more jewelry in The Last Jedi – perfect for adding to an outfit for a little Princess Leia inspiration, and a little more ‘incognito Leia’ than going to work wearing a long white dress and hair buns.
Without a direct comparison to the original screen-used ring, it is a little hard to say if this is exactly the same size. Comparing to the hi-res General Leia promotional poster from The Last Jedi, it appears to be a pretty close match – and it certainly looks the correct scale when I wear it on my ring finger. The top ring decoration measures approximately 4.95cm long, and 2.3cm wide (at the widest parts, including the strand ends).
This General Leia Organa ring is a must-have for any Leia fan – it has so much emotional significance behind it, as well as being a lovely jewelry design on its own. It would even make for a lovely engagement ring for that special Star Wars fan – I’ve seen Star Wars jewelry used in a geek proposal on several occasions.
I love adding this piece of Alderaan elegance to my wardrobe everyday, and taking a reminder of Leia with me wherever I go. Ready to take on the First Order, while always looking amazing. I’ll be wearing it to see Episode IX, in remembrance of our Princess.
