One of the items I bought at my visit to Her Universe’s booth at Celebration Anaheim was the ewok purse. While I’m not usually drawn to bright orange, I couldn’t resist the incredibly cute ewok face on the front. The bag is made from 60% cotton/40% acrylic crochet, with 100% cotton lining fabric. The shoulder strap is reinforced with cotton tape, so it’s sturdy to handle weight if the bag is full. The bag closes with a hidden magnetic closure, which snaps closed nicely – it’s sewn to the outer crochet, rather than lining which I like – I’ve had bags where the lining ripped because of tension pulling open the magnetic closure sewn to it. The crochet is a good thickness, nice and tight stitches but still feels soft – quite snuggly which works great with the ewok design!
The bag measures approximately 23cm high (not including the ears) and 24cm across at the widest point. The non-adjustable shoulder strap measures approximately 112cm long – the bag sits on my low hip when worn over one shoulder or can also be worn across the body. I paid US$50, which is the same as on Her Universe’s website. I think it’s a super cute design, a neat little casual bag, I love it.
