This is one purchase where I learned a valuable lesson – if I see something I like from Her Universe, buy it straight away. I didn’t buy this Rebel Alliance ‘HOPE’ top when it first came out, and when I remembered about it – of course, my size was sold out. Thankfully they must have had some unsold old stock, because a while later when they released the Imperial ‘LOVE’ hooded top they also added back to the website this ‘HOPE’ top, in select sizes/quantities. When I saw my size was available, I bought it quickly – straight afterwards it showed as sold out so I got the last one! I’ve certainly learned never to delay in buying Her Universe items – they seem to only restock on particular items.
Buying direct from Her Universe, I paid US$40 for the HOPE hooded top – it is described as a lounge hoodie, meaning it is not the same as a standard hoodie. The fabric is 50% polyester, 25% cotton, 25% rayon – this is t-shirt weight fabric with a lovely soft drape. The long sleeves have a cuff band sewn at the ends, and the hood has an extra middle strip so it’s nice and roomy. I bought mine in size XS – it measures approximately 41.5cm across the chest (underarm to underarm) and 43cm across the lower hem. I really love the colour, which is slightly more warm toned in person than compared to how it photographs. I’m just so happy to finally have this great Rebel themed top for my wardrobe.
Currently it is only available in size M from Her Universe – but thankfully Thinkgeek has it in stock for US$34.99 in sizes S to XXL. Something I noticed – both websites use the same image of Ashley Eckstein modelling the top. Her Universe notes she is wearing size XS, while Thinkgeek notes she is wearing size S – I am inclined to believe Her Universe’s description is accurate. The measurement charts are the same for both websites, but the size XS is missing from Thinkgeek’s chart, I’m not sure why they don’t carry that size (as Her Universe notes, the top runs true to size if not a little big).
