A little while ago I posted my review of a few tops from Junk Food Clothing. I had ordered the tops in size small, and found they were all a little larger than I anticipated. While I know t-shirts aren’t too difficult to alter smaller, I do find it helpful to sometimes compare sizes in hand for future reference. When Junk Food Clothing advertised a 30% off store wide sale, I quickly checked and confirmed two of the shirts I had purchased earlier (in size s) were available in a smaller size (xs) and bought them.
My initial review of these two tank tops can be found here, so I will focus on the differences in sizing. In each photo, the size small is on the left, size xs on the right. As you can see from the approximate measurements listed below, there is actually very little difference in the sizing of the s and xs ‘Force is Strong’ top. The Junk Food Clothing website sizing chart has a difference of 2″ (5cm) between the chest and waist measurements of the s and xs tops, but lying the two ‘Force is Strong’ tops on top of each other there is no difference in the chest. I didn’t really need to buy the smaller sizes, but now I have a better idea of their sizing for any future orders.
A Long Time Ago tank top
- across the chest (underarm to underarm) – size s 48cm, size xs 44cm
- across the lower hem – size s 51cm, size xs 45cm
- length from front neckline to hem – size s 41cm, size xs 40cm
The Force Is Strong tank top
- across the chest (underarm to underarm) – size s 41cm, size xs 41cm
- across the lower hem (straight across, side seam to side seam) – size s 47cm, size xs 45cm
