While I certainly love collecting Star Wars jewelry, I tend to wear bracelets more than rings, so I’m always on the lookout for new styles to add to my bracelet collection. I spotted this Love And Madness x Star Wars bracelet on eBay late last year – and needed it! I paid US$16.95 – a great buy, though I am not sure what the original retail price was. From what I can find, this bracelet was sold by Claire’s, a UK-based accessories store.
The silver-tone charm bracelet came with a black cardboard tag, featuring the Star Wars and Love And Madness logos on the front, and standard copyright/website information on the back. The tag doesn’t note what material the bracelet is made from, so I’m not sure. The bracelet features 8 dangle charms – Death Star, Stormtrooper, Darth Vader, Star Wars logo, Yoda, Millennium Falcon, C-3PO and R2-D2. The end of the adjustment chain also features a small silver-toneStar Wars logo charm, which is smaller than the version on the main bracelet. Most of the charms feature a coloured enamel accent, except for the Death Star charm which is plain silver-tone. The colour on the C-3PO charm has a textured gold finish, while the R2-D2 charm features small red and blue details against the white enamel.
The bracelet measures approximately 19.5cm long (including clasp), with a further 3cm length of chain for adjustment. On average, the charms measure approximately 15mm to 22mm tall, and approximately 1mm deep – the back of each charm is plain, and features the standard ‘(c) LFL’ copyright text. The clear line details of these charms means they are recognizable to fans even from a distance without needing to be too big and cumbersome. When wearing the bracelet, the charms make that lovely ‘jingle’ sound as they move. I love the larger style round clasp on this bracelet, I personally haven’t come across this style before. I love this bracelet, I’ve been wearing it quite a lot ever since it arrived in the mail!
I am certainly very keen to add more Love And Madness x Star Wars items to my collection, but it’s hard trying to find stockists that carry the items I want and ship internationally – so I’m very excited to see what will be stocked at Thinkgeek on May the 4th, as they can ship worldwide!
