This longline black t-shirt showed up at Forever 21 back in June, and I bought it straight away, for two reasons – I love the phrase ‘May The Force Be With You’, and it’s not common to find women’s t-shirts with printing on the sleeves. Originally priced at US$15.90 and available in sizes S to L, it has unfortunately now sold out. It features a while stormtrooper helmet on each sleeve, and ‘May The Force Be With You’ text across the lower right side (when worn).
There’s always a certain amount of risk when buying on-line, as sometimes items don’t always arrive as you’d expect – but in this instance it was a good thing! When this tee arrived in the mail, two things stood out immediately – the fabric, and the printing. The fabric is 95% rayon, 5% spandex/elastane – it is so soft and slinky! A great choice for a longline style tee, as the fabric drapes nicely, I really like it. The original website listing described ‘printing’ – so I was completely surprised to find velvet flocking! The white ‘May The Force Be With You’ text and the stormtrooper helmet on both sleeves are raised and fuzzy, which is a really fun detail. Though I did wonder why they paired stormtroopers with the classic ‘good guy’ phrase, but never mind, I still love it. I bought mine in size small, it measures approximately 54cm across the chest (underarm to underarm), 53cm across the lower hem, and 67.5cm from front neckline to front hem. I enjoy finding Star Wars shirts with a point of difference, and this tee certainly has that – I just love the flocking!
