Amongst the recent arrivals at Hot Topic are these women’s Star Wars reversible pyjama pants. While I don’t need pyjama pants, these make great ‘lounge’ pants for casual days at home – and I quickly ordered a pair. These pants are still available from Hot Topic in sizes S to XL, priced at US$24.50 – I paid US$19.60 during a sale. I bought mine in size S, they measure approximately 36cm across the waist band, 72cm in-seam and 96cm from top of waist band to lower hem.
The grey pants have a drawstring/elastic waist band, with cuffs at the ankles/lower hem. The fabric is 60% cotton, 40% polyester – nice and soft with some stretch. The outside features the Star Wars logo down the left leg, printed in black with blue accents. The inside features an all-over repeating character print in black – with R2-D2 accented in blue. Most of the characters appear upside down – but ‘right way up’ when looking down at your legs while wearing the pants, which suits their ‘around home’ purpose. Wearing the pants ‘inside out’ means the garment tags are now on the outside (so should be carefully removed), and the drawstring is now inside the waist band. If you prefer, the drawstring can be removed altogether, as the waist already has a wide elastic band. The seam allowances are nice and flat for both sides (better than I’ve seen on some other reversible clothing), though the grey stitching is more visible on the reverse side due to the contrast against the black print. Whichever side you prefer, these comfy pants are perfect for wearing curled up on the sofa for a Star Wars movie night at home.
