Back in September, Her Universe held a one-day sale to celebrate Ashley Eckstein’s birthday. As Her Universe doesn’t have sales very often, I was excited to make use of the 30% off discount, and bought my favourite item from the new range of The Force Awakens apparel – the Rey Resistance baseball raglan tee. It is still available in sizes XS to L, and plus sizes 1 to 3. Usually priced at US$28.00 (US$30.00 for plus sizes), I paid US$19.60 during the sale. I am surprised at myself that I didn’t buy this tee when it was first released on Force Friday, it is one of my favourite items of Rey themed women’s apparel that I’ve seen. The golden yellow colour of the print goes well with Rey and the desert world of Jakku where she lives.
The white tee features heather grey 3/4 length raglan sleeves, and printed designs on the front and back. The front print is of Rey with a yellow Star Wars logo and striped background, while the back print is a yellow Resistance themed design with the classic Rebel ‘bird’ symbol. The yellow parts of both prints have a flecked/weathered appearance – I love that this tee has big printed designs on both sides, which adds that extra point of interest for me. I bought mine in size XS – it measures approximately 41cm across the chest (underarm to underarm), 42.5cm across the lower hem (straight across side seam to side seam), 58cm from front neckline to front hem, and the sleeves measure approximately 31cm long (from underarm seam to hem). It’s great to have a tee that features Rey on her own, I’m so happy to have this in my wardrobe.
