A couple of years ago Rock Rebel released a Star Wars collection of bags and accessories. As I was unable to buy everything I wanted from the range at the time, I have been slowly tracking down pieces on ebay. A recent purchase is this ‘hobo’ style handbag featuring a grid version of the classic poster art. I paid US$48.99 – though I’m not sure of it’s original retail price for comparison. Sadly Rock Rebel no longer has the Star War license – check ebay if you’d like to track this one down too.
The bag is made from a soft faux leather, with the classic poster art displayed in a grid. The colours appear slightly toned down, giving a vintage feel. The main compartment is lined with black fabric, featuring the Rock Rebel tag sewn on one side, and the Star Wars tag on the other. Inside there are three pockets – one closes with a zip, the two on the other side are open. There is also one external zip compartment, accented with silver studs. The side seams have black piping, coordinating well with the faux black leather shoulder strap. The bag measures approximately 42cm long, 35cm high, with the non-adjustable shoulder strap measuring approximately 50cm long (including the metal rings). I am so happy to finally add this bag to my wardrobe, I love the casual ‘sling on your shoulder’ style and stud details.
