A couple of years ago Rock Rebel released a Star Wars collection of bags and accessories. As I was unable to buy everything I wanted from the range at the time, I have been slowly tracking down my favourite pieces. Some recent purchases include three necklaces from the collection – I bought them from different sources, but I’ll review them all together because they are all similar in design. I tried to decide which version was my favourite, but couldn’t narrow down a choice – so of course I bought all three. I paid US$8.99 each for the gold and silver versions, US$10.68 for the rhinestone version. As they are no longer available direct from Rock Rebel, I bought mine from ebay and Amazon.
The necklaces each come with a non-adjustable chain featuring a little ‘Rock Rebel’ heart pendant by the clasp. The pendants are attached to the chains at two points, so they hang properly when worn. If you open the clasp and lay the necklace out, the full length (including pendant) is approximately 48.5cm. This is much shorter than most necklace lengths, as these are designed to be worn higher up, closer to your neck. The back of each pendant is stamped with ‘(c) 2012 LFL & TM’. The gold and silver toned pendants measure approximately 46mm x 20mm, whereas the rhinestone version is a little larger, measuring approximately 50mm x 22mm. Seeing them in person, I have to say the rhinestone one is my favourite. I had worried it would be too ‘bling’ but it looks just right. I love having three variations though, to match with so many outfits!
