Shortly after the launch of the mmorpg Star Wars: The Old Republic, game apparel company Jinx released a line of SWTOR t-shirts and accessories. Included in the collection were two logo necklaces, for the two main factions in the game – the Old Republic and the Sith Empire. Being a huge fan of the game (I have been playing/subscribing since beta testing), I had to have the necklaces for my wardrobe. Unfortunately Jinx no longer makes SWTOR items, so I’m glad I was able to pick these up when I did.
Each necklace cost US$9.99. They came on a silver chain measuring approximately 50cm long. For me, this chain length was too long, and it is not adjustable. I removed the pendants off the chain and wear them on a metal hoop necklace instead. I think the style of the pendants goes well with the hoop, I swap between the two pendants to match outfits. The pendants themselves are very sturdy metal, with recessed enamelled colours. The Republic emblem measures approximately 3.8cm across, the Sith Empire pendant measures approximately 3.4cm across. I love being able to show off my love of The Old Republic with this jewelry, I play both factions in the game so I can support both with my wardrobe too!
