While it’s been hard to narrow down my shopping list from the Body Vibe x Star Wars range of jewelry, one item I knew I needed was the TIE Advanced X1 necklace. Originally available from Thinkgeek for US$29.99, I bought it during a sale a little while ago for US$23.99 – though now it’s discounted even further to US$17.99. Like the other items in the collection, the necklace comes packaged in a branded box with black card insert, the chain length is packaged in a small zip lock bag behind.
Made from stainless steel, the necklace features a pendant of a TIE Advanced X1. The starship is accented with a black rhinestone in the center, and inset black enamel on the outer wing panels. The TIE fighter itself measures approximately 2.5cm wide and 1.5cm high. The back is flat, so the pendant sits nicely when worn – it is etched with ‘(c) LFL S. Steel’. The adjustable chain measures approximately 41cm long, with a further 5cm for adjustment and closes with a lobster-style clasp. The chain is thinner than the one used on many other of the Body Vibe x Star Wars necklaces (like the Celebration Anaheim exclusive), which suits the small pendant nicely. It’s a great addition to my jewelry collection, I love the added details and rhinestone to give it a little bit of sparkle.
