It’s 30th September here in New Zealand – Rogue Friday is here! Just like last year’s Force Friday, I will be blogging all the new Star Wars fashion news as fast as I can, so stay tuned! What are you hoping to see – perhaps a Jyn Erso vest, Director Krennic inspired cape, or Rebel Alliance jewelry?
As women’s Star Wars fashion is hard to find locally, I am eagerly anticipating clocks ticking over to 30th September in the US, when retailers and manufacturers will reveal their first wave of Rogue One merchandise. We have been given a glimpse at items from Her Universe, and Disney Parks, while many stores including Thinkgeek, Entertainment Earth, Hot Topic, Loungefly and Design By Humans have announced they will be releasing new Star Wars products for Rogue Friday – I can’t wait to see who else will join in!
There is some speculation that Rogue Friday will see a smaller merchandise release than last year’s Force Friday – which if true, doesn’t surprise me. The main saga films are expected to draw more attention than the standalone films, so I can understand companies producing less merchandise for Rogue One compared to The Force Awakens. Of course I’m really excited to finally see some Jyn Erso fashion – I can’t wait to add some more Rebel Alliance themed apparel and accessories to my wardrobe!
