While in Anaheim for Celebration, I had the amazing opportunity to finally visit Disneyland. Of course I was excited to ride Star Tours (10 times!) but also check out the Star Wars fashion and accessories available in the park and in Downtown Disney stores. Most of the women’s Star Wars shirts I spotted were made by Fifth Sun, who sell a great range on-line. I was surprised to see the Dooney & Bourke Star Wars satchel handbags available, as they were exclusives for the RunDisney Star Wars event in January – I guess the higher price point (US$322) left them with unsold stock. Rather tempting, but I couldn’t quite afford one after my spending at Celebration. It was also great to see some Loungefly X Star Wars items available – I nearly bought the R2-D2 coin purse. Most items were available at both Downtown Disney (D Street store) and inside Disneyland (Star Traders).
Something I noticed on my last visit to Downtown Disney were two dresses – made by Her Universe! I hadn’t heard about these before, and didn’t remember seeing them on my first visit a few days earlier. Then Her Universe posted on Facebook about new designs showing up at the park, so they were indeed brand new! While similar to earlier Her Universe dresses, these are sleeved versions of the R2-D2 and Darth Vader skater dresses. Exclusive to Disney Parks, I found these at Downtown Disney in the D Street store. They were priced at US$49.95 each, I love the heart on the sleeve on the R2-D2 dress!
