During my trip to Celebration Orlando, I was excited to be able to visit the downtown Disney area of Walt Disney World – Disney Springs. Over the last couple of years, there has been an increasing amount of women’s Star Wars fashion available at the US Disney Parks, which is awesome, of course – I just wish it was all available online for those of us who can’t visit very often!
A recent arrival at Disney Springs is the Star Wars Galactic Outpost store. While stores like Tren-D and World of Disney do still stock Star Wars apparel, it was neat to see a separate store just for Star Wars items – the range included apparel, jewelry, toys and more.
One of my first stops was the Star Wars jewelry display. When I visited Disneyland last year, the Star Wars jewelry was in the World of Disney store, but here in Disney Springs it seems to have been moved to the Star Wars Galactic Outpost store.
The Star Wars jewelry range included necklaces, bracelets, rings, and bead charms. The collection of necklaces was smaller than what I had seen at Disneyland, but still included some of my favourite designs, like the Jedi Order symbol pendant, Rebel Alliance symbol pendant, and the 3D sculpted pendants like R2-D2 and AT-AT.
I wish that the jewelry range had been bigger, I particularly missed the bracelets that I had seen at Disneyland – though I am sure there will be an increase in Star Wars fashion available at the parks once the new Star Wars Land expansions are finished!
The Star Wars jewelry range is priced between US$6.99 to US$26.99 each (plus tax), though most items were in the upper price range. During my visit last year, I bought the ‘May The Force Be With You’ bracelet, so this year I picked up a matching ‘The Force Is Strong With This One’ bracelet – review coming soon!
As well as the jewelry, Galactic Outpost had a good range of women’s Star Wars apparel available. If you missed out on this Rogue One purple tee online, there is still stock available at Disney Springs. This design is one of my favourites from the range of Rogue One apparel, but then I am always fond of the Rebel Alliance ‘starbird’ symbol on anything.
This women’s Star Wars vintage style t-shirt is also available on the Disney Store website (US$29.95 each, sizes XS to XXL). I love the distressed effect of the front print, it looks like a t-shirt you’ve worn and loved for years.
This black hoodie featured a Rogue One themed print of Darth Vader’s silhouette in front of a silvery Death Star. I love that the Death Star is accented with clear rhinestones!
The classic Star Wars logo is always a popular theme, so it was no surprise to see a few items like this women’s v-neck tee and women’s sweatshirt featuring the simple design.
As well as apparel, the Galactic Outpost store also had a small selection of accessories available. One of my favourites is the canvas patch tote bag, which is still available online (US$64.95 each). If you’re looking for the vintage print scarf, it is available from Disney reseller store ‘Your WDW Store’ (US$28.95 each).
It was no surprise to see the ever-popular Loungefly R2-D2 mini dome bag available at the parks, but of course is still available online direct from Loungefly (US$68.00 each), and stockists like Amazon (US$63.99 each).
There were a few adult sized caps available, featuring Kylo Ren and Princess Leia and Han Solo ‘Rebel Love’ themed designs.
This Chewbacca themed smart phone case is perfect for storing your essentials for a day at the parks – it is also available on the Disney Store website (US$21.95 each).
And of course, there was a large selection of men’s apparel available. Designs included Boba Fett, Darth Vader, Stormtroopers, Yoda, and more.
Stay tuned for more Star Wars fashion reports from Disney Springs! 🙂
