Hot Topic has two new sets of women’s Star Wars swimwear available! The mini collection includes two styles – R2-D2 and Darth Vader – that are available as separates (bikini top and bottoms sold individually). The range is made from 82% nylon, 18% spandex, with 100% polyester lining – the Darth Vader top features removable pads, while the R2-D2 top has padded, mouled cups and removable straps. Each item is priced at US$24.50 each, and are available in sizes XS to XXL – Hot Topic can ship internationally! Hot Topic also runs very regular on-line discounts – currently these are all 25% off, making them US$18.37 each, so you can pick up a full set for less than US$40!
This is the first time I’ve seen licensed women’s Star Wars swimwear since the 14 one-piece swimsuits in the Black Milk Clothing x Star Wars collection, first released way back in 2012 and are all long since sold out. I do really wish Hot Topic noted which size the model is wearing, as a guide for those of us who can’t shop at a physical Hot Topic store – swimwear needs to fit right! Though it’s great to see each top and bottom available separately, for women who need a differently sized top and bottom combination – I can also see the Darth Vader top being a useful sports crop too.
